Some people advocate that educating kids at
home is best for child growth and progress while others prefer schooling. This
essay will explain the benefits of both the ways. I am of the firm belief that
education at school instills discipline in kids and makes them self-dependent as
it allows kids to engage in social interactions in addition to gaining
knowledge from books and teachers.
The benefit of education at home are numerous
but the most important is that children are exposed to a homely environment and
they can learn things by observing at home. Parents can specifically and
individually focus on kids while teaching them at home. Practical demonstrations
of difficult situations can be easily done at home and parents can observe
their progress throughout the day. For instance, kids can learn dining etiquette
and manners by observing their parents at meal times.
The advantage of schooling is different and
unique. School inculcates discipline in children and allows them to interact
with other students. Children acquire skills from highly experienced faculties
of their respective fields. Children learn to compete and become self-dependent.
Social interactions with other children are important for their overall personality
development. For example, participation in different school activities teaches
students about team work, competition and helps in building confidence about
task completion in kids.
To conclude, both ways of education, either at
home or at school has their own advantages. However, I believe going to school
is the best way for children to acquire discipline, develop social interaction,
understand team work and instill self confidence in addition to acquiring
knowledge from books and teachers.
